We're looking for a Business & Financial Planning and Analysis Partner to join our Finance Business Partnering team and help deliver better outcomes for one of Australia's most dynamic capital cities.
This is a strategic finance role where you'll work closely with leaders across the organisation, providing insights, analysis and advice that influence key decisions. You'll be a trusted partner to managers and budget owners, helping them understand financial performance, develop robust business cases, plan for the future and make informed decisions that support organisational priorities.

A little more about the role
As part of the Finance, Rates and Investments branch, you will:
- Partner with managers and business leaders to provide high-quality financial advice, analysis and decision support.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting activities across allocated portfolios.
- Prepare and present monthly financial reports, identifying trends, opportunities and risks.
- Support business planning initiatives through financial modelling, analysis and robust business case development.
- Challenge assumptions and provide strategic insights that improve financial and operational performance.
- Contribute to organisation-wide projects, service planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Help build financial capability and accountability across the organisation through effective business partnering.

About you
You're a commercially minded finance qualified who enjoys partnering with stakeholders and translating financial information into practical business solutions.
You thrive in collaborative environments, are naturally curious and analytical, and have the confidence to challenge thinking while building strong and trusted relationships.
What your experience might look like Key Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with CPA or CA qualifications desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and management reporting within a complex organisation.
- Strong business partnering experience with a proven ability to influence, support and build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance audiences.
- Experience contributing to business planning, financial modelling, performance measurement and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, combined with sound judgement and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within deadlines.
