About Auto One

Auto One is one of Australia's leading automotive parts and accessories networks, with stores right across the country serving both trade workshops and everyday motorists.

Our Waitara store is growing. Demand from our local trade accounts and retail customers has kept building, so we are expanding the team and adding a permanent full time sales position to keep up.

About the Role

This is a hands on, customer facing sales role. You will be the person behind the counter and on the phone, working out exactly what a customer needs, looking up their vehicle, and making sure the right part goes out the door the first time.

You will deal with a genuine mix of customers: local mechanics and trade accounts who need parts fast and correct, and retail customers who need a bit more guidance to get the job done properly.

Because we are growing the team rather than replacing someone, there is real scope to shape the role and take ownership of your own trade accounts as you settle in.

What You'll Be Doing

- Serving trade and retail customers in store, over the phone and by email

- Using our vehicle lookup system (Oscar) to correctly identify parts by make, model, engine and build date

- Confirming fitment before the sale to reduce returns and keep customers coming back

- Processing sales, quotes, orders and returns accurately

- Sourcing non stocked items through our supplier and distribution network

- Keeping the store presentation,



displays and promotional stock in top shape

- Building genuine relationships with local trade accounts and repeat retail customers

- Participating in the weekend roster on rotation with the rest of the team

What You'll Bring

- Experience in automotive parts retail or trade sales, with the ability to interpret and look up parts accurately (highly regarded)

- Solid vehicle and product knowledge, or a strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in cars

- Confidence with catalogue and point of sale systems, we will train you on ours

- Robust communication skills and the patience to help a customer who is not sure what they need

- Accuracy and attention to detail, because the wrong part costs everyone time

- A reliable, team first attitude and availability for the weekend rotation

- A current driver's licence
