If you are looking for a subcontract position which includes genuinely flexible working hours and working from home, then this role might be for you! This role is a work from home position however it does require travel to participant's homes and community locations in South Australia.

We are seeking applicants with experience, whether that be employment, having a lived experience of disability or being a family member/carer.

We also welcome applications from support coordinators already working in the space that are impacted by the closure of their current places of employment.

Available positions

- 1 x Support coordination subcontractor position available (northern Adelaide suburbs)

- 1 x Psychosocial recovery coach subcontractor position available (Adelaide metro)

- 1 x Support coordination and/or psychosocial recovery coach subcontractor position available (covering the Yorke and Mid North region including Port Pirie, Clare and the Yorke Peninsula)

About the Support Coordination role

The purpose of the position of a Support Coordinator (SC) is to support NDIS participants to navigate the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The SC works with participants to implement the supports funded within the participant's NDIS plan for the purpose of capacity building and improving social and community participation, health and wellbeing, and for managing the day-to-day impacts of disability. The SC will work to assist participants to reach their goals through these NDIS funded supports, as well as linking participants with appropriate community and mainstream supports.

About the Psychosocial Recovery Coaching role

In addition to role often provided by the SC, the Psychosocial Recovery Coach (PRC) provides individualised supports to participants of the NDIS who have psychosocial disability including mental health coaching and mentoring. The PRC role is a coaching and mentoring role, using both professional and lived experience as a means to understand recovery and support others in their own recovery.

Key responsibilities to build NDIS participants capacity in





- Understanding and implementing a participant's NDIS plan

- Understanding participant's NDIS budgets and planning how to utilise funding to work towards goals

- Researching and negotiating with potential service providers, collecting information so that participants can make an informed choice

- Referrals to providers chosen by the participant

- Implementing and monitoring funded, mainstream and community supports, including mainstream mental health services

- Understanding and implementing NDIS processes, including preparing for plan reassessments and requesting reviews into NDIS decisions

- Educating on the use of MyPlace and MyGov portals

- Developing and understanding service agreements

- Evaluating current supports

- Psychosocial Recovery Coach: Co-design of a Recovery Plan, allowing the participant to make plans to take control of their own mental health recovery and share these plans with their support people

Criteria

- Residing in South Australia in one of the identified regions above

- Robust organisational and report writing skills

- Honest and transparent

- Must be willing to travel to participants homes as part of service delivery

- Provision of worker clearances before commencing role: National Police Certificate, WWCC, NDIS worker clearance

- C class drivers license and insured, reliable car

- Psychosocial Recovery Coach: Lived experience of poor mental health or mental illness

- Psychosocial Recovery Coach: Cert 4 in Mental Health, Cert 4 in Peer Work, Bachelor in Social Work or Psychology, or relevant associated degree; or at least two years work experience in mental health

- Respectful and professional communicator,



including with First Nations peoples, people of colour and people who are LGBTIQA+ people

- Able to work independently with minimal supervision

- Must have ABN and purchase professional indemnity and public liability insurances

- Must have your own laptop and internet access and be able to use these competently

- As we work with people who often have challenges in communicating effectively, you will have English fluency, and any additional languages you speak will also be highly valued.

Sub-contractors are paid in 15 minutes billable increments. We are seeking contractors with availability to work up to 25 hours per week.

Hourly rates are based on experience, qualification, caseload complexity and the value brought to the organisation such as through reputation and referrals. Superannuation is paid in addition to the hourly rates: Support coordination range: $52-62/hr, Psychosocial recovery coaching range: $55-65/hr. Higher hourly rates for work with participants living in Remote and Very Remote areas (classified as 6-7 in the MMM model).
