About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on all-rounder to keep our mine site village running. This is a broad role covering water and wastewater plant operation, grounds upkeep and general maintenance across the accommodation and facilities — no two days look the same, and you'll be trusted to get on with it.

Roster: 2/1

Point of Hire / Location: Toowoomba, QLD

Engagement: Full-time, DIDO options available

Start Date: Immediate start

Key Responsibilities

- Day-to-day operation and monitoring of the potable water treatment plant (WTP), reverse osmosis (RO) units and wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) — routine checks, dosing, sampling, and recording results

- General handyman repairs across accommodation blocks, wet mess, kitchen and admin buildings — patching, painting, carpentry, basic plumbing, fixtures and fittings

- Grounds maintenance — mowing, whipper snipping, weed and pest control, irrigation, garden beds and general site presentation

- Forklift operation for deliveries, stock movements and waste handling

- Completing scheduled preventative maintenance and keeping accurate logs and compliance records

- Waste and rubbish runs, fire equipment checks and general site support

- Working alongside the Village Manager and site team to keep the place protected, clean and running well

Tickets & Experience

- Current forklift licence (LF)

- Current driver's licence

- Working knowledge of WWTP, WTP and RO systems

- Demonstrated grounds maintenance experience

- Solid handyman and general maintenance skills across multiple trades

- Ability to work unsupervised, prioritise your own workload and keep good records

- A genuine safety-first attitude

- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening

- Desirable - Water treatment ticket or certificate, EWP, working at heights, confined space entry, chemical handling, small plant and machinery tickets, or previous remote village/camp experience.
