Experienced Sheetmetal Tradesperson/Fabricator

Due to continued growth, we have an opportunity for a highly experienced Sheetmetal Tradesperson/Fabricator to join our team at our Altona workshop.

About the Role

As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly and welding of custom sheet metal products to precise specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the delivery of high-quality outcomes that meet exacting standards and exceed customer expectations.

This role is primarily workshop-based in Altona, with occasional site work involving the design, installation, maintenance and upkeep of our projects.

About You

We are seeking a motivated and reliable tradesperson who takes pride in producing quality work and contributing to a positive team environment.

To be successful, you will ideally possess:

- Trade qualifications in Sheetmetal, Fabrication or Mechanical Trade – interested parties MUST possess 1st or 2nd Class qualifications or Certificate III

- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar fabrication role





- Strong experience in MIG and TIG welding - aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel to a high finish standard

- Proven sheet metal fabrication experience (essential). Our activities range from light Sheetmetal (1.0mm) to heavier steel (16mm).

- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, shop drawings, specifications and cut lists

- A strong understanding of quality standards, accuracy and consistency

- Experience operating workshop and trade equipment, including brake press, folder, guillotine, and hand tools. Previous laser cutting experience advantageous, but not essential.

- The ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a team

- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

- A commitment to maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment

- A High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) is advantageous but not essential
