About the role
We're seeking a hands on, detail oriented Bookkeeper/Accountant to take ownership of our financial administration across all three venues. This is a full-time position suited to someone who thrives in a fast paced hospitality workplace and is comfortable managing multiple locations and systems.
Key responsibilities
- Manage bill payments and supplier invoicing across all three venues, using Xero and Lightyear
- Process weekly payroll for all venue staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant awards and entitlements
- Onboard new employees, including setting up staff files, Tax File Number declarations, Super Choice forms, and entering details into Deputy and payroll system
- Complete weekly reconciliation of revenue and banking sheets for each venue, cross-checking Bepoz POS takings against Tyro EFTPOS settlements and bank deposits
- Prepare and lodge (or prepare for lodgement by our accountant) quarterly Business Activity Statements when due
- Maintain accurate financial records in Xero, including bank reconciliations, coding of transactions, and month-end reporting
- Liaise with venue managers on wage cost reporting and rostering data via Deputy
- Support the owner/operations team with financial reporting, cash flow tracking, and general administrative tasks as required
About you
- Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounts role, ideally within hospitality, retail, or a multi-site business
- Working knowledge of Xero (essential); experience with Lightyear, Bepoz, Deputy, or Tyro highly regarded
- Solid understanding of payroll processing, including awards, super, and PAYG
- Experience preparing BAS statements
- Strong attention to detail and reconciliation accuracy
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple venues
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, "no surprises" approach to reporting issues
- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping/Accounting or equivalent qualification (preferred)
- Prior experience in the pub, club, or hospitality industry is a strong advantage

With a strong presence in the local nightlife and hospitality scene, we're looking for an experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to manage the day to day financial operations across all three sites.
