The R&D; Lead at TechnologyOne is responsible for leading and supporting the Product team to design, build and enhance high-quality enterprise software. Working within our Higher Education / Student Management product, you'll lead a team of Architects, Business Analysts, Developers and Testers to deliver solutions that meet customer needs and product strategy.

This is an opportunity to combine strong technical leadership and software development experience with a genuine interest in solving complex challenges for the tertiary education sector. Experience developing software for universities or other tertiary education environments would be highly regarded.

What you'll be doing:

- Lead, support, and develop a collaborative, achievement-focused team, including Architects, Business Analysts, Developers, and Testers, to deliver on the product roadmap and meet quality metrics.
- Ensure efficient resource allocation in line with delivery priorities and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
- Coach the team on agile methodologies and enterprise guidelines, including architecture, security, programming, automated testing, and quality management.
- Motivate team members to take ownership of their professional growth and career progression.
- Inspire a culture of innovation and problem-solving to achieve ambitious goals.
- Provide technical input, review, and quality assurance for software and architecture as needed.
- Leverage industry knowledge to guide software concepts, configurations, and technical decision-making.
- Use customer feedback, market research,



and technology trends to contribute innovative ideas to the Product Roadmap.
- Collaborate with the Product Success team to align software development with business priorities.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement in product design, software implementation, and team processes.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise policies, work health and safety requirements, and suggest proactive improvements.

Your Talents…

- Strong technical knowledge and proven software development experience, particularly C# and SQL Server, delivering large-scale enterprise applications.
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing software engineering teams.
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical and operational challenges.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance technical outcomes with business priorities.
- Understanding of software security, privacy and compliance within enterprise environments.
- Experience with enterprise software, ERP platforms or Student Management systems is highly regarded.
- Experience developing software for the tertiary education sector is a bonus.
