Are you looking for more than just another job?
Reddy Mechanical Solutions (RMS) is a growing, family-owned Western Australian business, and we’re looking for great people who want to become part of our team, develop their skills and grow with us for the long term.
Established in 2015, RMS specialises in servicing, repairing and installing:
- Tail lifts
- Loading dock equipment
- Conveyor systems
- Industrial doors
- Hydraulic, electrical and mechanical equipment
- Materials-handling equipment
We support transport companies, warehouses, manufacturers, cold-storage facilities and major commercial customers throughout Perth.
As RMS continues to expand, we’re looking for:
- Two experienced Service Technicians
- One Trades Assistant
You’ll enjoy varied, practical work with a friendly team where your contribution is valued. We want people who take pride in what they do, support their teammates and want to build a future with the business.
Service Technicians – Two Positions Available
As an RMS Service Technician, no two days will be exactly the same. You’ll work at customer sites and in our workshop, diagnosing faults, completing repairs, performing preventative maintenance and assisting with new equipment installations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Servicing and repairing tail lifts, dock levellers, conveyor systems, industrial doors and associated equipment
- Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
- Completing preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Installing and commissioning new equipment
- Repairing hydraulic cylinders, hoses, pumps, motors, switches and control systems
- Maintaining and repairing conveyor components, including motors, rollers, bearings, belts and sensors
- Testing equipment and ensuring it is safe and operational
- Communicating professionally with customers and site contacts
- Completing digital job reports, photographs and service records through ServiceM8
- Working independently while remaining part of a supportive team
- Sharing knowledge and helping other team members when required
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Experience as a service technician, mechanical fitter, hydraulic technician, auto electrician, industrial electrician, heavy-vehicle mechanic or in a similar hands-on trade
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience with hydraulics and basic electrical diagnosis
- The ability to read wiring diagrams and hydraulic schematics
- A current Australian driver’s licence
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- A reliable, safety-focused and qualified attitude
- Initiative and the ability to work without constant supervision
- A willingness to learn new equipment and share your knowledge with the team
Experience with tail lifts, loading docks, conveyor systems, industrial doors or materials-handling equipment would be highly regarded, but it isn’t essential. We can provide product-specific training to the right person.
A relevant mechanical, electrical, automotive or engineering trade qualification would be advantageous.
Trades Assistant
Our Trades Assistant will work alongside experienced RMS technicians in the workshop and at customer sites, assisting with servicing, repairs and installations.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically minded, enjoys practical work and wants to build a career within the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical service industry.
We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just want to turn up and collect a wage. We want someone keen to learn, take on more responsibility and develop alongside RMS as the business grows.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting technicians with servicing, repairs and installations
- Helping with tail lifts, loading docks, conveyor systems and industrial equipment
- Preparing tools, parts and equipment for jobs
- Helping remove, fit and adjust mechanical components
- Cleaning and preparing equipment for inspection or repair
- Assisting with workshop organisation and stock control
- Collecting parts and making deliveries when required
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop and worksite
- Following instructions and completing work safely
- Learning basic mechanical, hydraulic and electrical testing procedures
- Supporting the team wherever practical assistance is required
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- A genuine interest in mechanical equipment and a willingness to learn
- Experience using common hand and power tools
- A current Australian driver’s licence
- Reliable transport and dependable attendance
- Good physical fitness and the ability to perform hands-on work
- A strong focus on workplace safety
- A practical attitude and the ability to work well with others
- Initiative and a willingness to help without always needing to be asked
- Respectful and professional behaviour around customers and teammates
Previous experience as a trades assistant, workshop assistant, mechanic’s assistant, labourer or installer would be helpful, but the right attitude and willingness to learn are just as important to us.
