We are currently seeking applications for an Office Coordinator to join The Office of the Industry Advocate at The Department of Treasury & Finance until January 2028 with a possibility of extension.

Remuneration: ASO4 - Salary Range ($82,212 - $86,180 p.a.)

About the opportunity:

Reporting to the Director, Operations and Reform, the Office Coordinator is responsible for providing a range of productive and effective executive, administrative and project support services to the Industry Advocate, Deputy Industry Advocate and the broader Office.

The role maintains the daily coordination of the OIA to meet relevant work priorities and outcomes, supports the OIA to meet requirements under the Industry Advocate Act 2017 and helps ensure the effective running and administration of the Office.

About you:

Provide professional, responsive and effective executive and administrative support to the Industry Advocate, Deputy Industry Advocate and the OIA, including meeting coordination, preparation of confidential materials, follow-up actions and liaison with Ministerial and Parliamentary staff where required.

To be successful you will:

- Operate under limited direction, exercise independent judgement and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.

- Communicate clearly and with high attention to detail, both in writing and verbally and maintain confidentiality in sensitive matters.

- Generate high-quality materials and proof-read or direct written material prepared by others.

- Use initiative, act with urgency, support change and risk management initiatives and implement solutions within assigned functions.





- Proactively identify opportunities to improve administrative practices and exercise initiative where procedures are not clearly defined.

participation in government contracts, Aboriginal employment, innovation, social and environmental outcomes, and the promotion of apprenticeships and training opportunities.
