The Whiteheads Timber Sales group operates a mid-sized softwood saw mill supplying timber into wholesale markets with four trade and retail outlets across SA and Victoria. Whiteheads has developed a strong presence in the local timber industry, built around a reputation for providing dependable and effective customer service levels and consistent quality products while maintaining a safe workplace.
We are currently recruiting Day Shift General Mill Hands/labourers to join our team. If you have the right attitude and drive, we want to hear from you.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure safe work practices.
- Stacking Timber
- Strapping Timber
- Tallying packs
- Operating machinery
- Some data entry.
- General housekeeping tasks.
Key Attributes include:
- Forklift License (highly regarded)
- Positive work ethic, energetic and hard-working
- Valuable attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously or with a team as required
- Physically fit to perform manual handling duties
- Communication and people skills
- Bring a positive attitude
As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination, which includes functional, audiometric and drug and alcohol testing.
