Senior Compliance Officer

Grade 9/10 | Sydney | 6-month contract opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly capable Senior Compliance Officer to join a large and respected organisation delivering services that support the community across New South Wales. This role offers the chance to lead risk-based compliance activities, influence key stakeholders, and provide expert regulatory advice across a diverse operational landscape.

Your new role

Working within a collaborative team of compliance and regulatory professionals, you will play a key role in ensuring legislative obligations are met while driving continuous improvement across compliance frameworks, policies and reporting processes. This is a highly visible role offering exposure to senior stakeholders and an opportunity to contribute to strategic decision-making. You will be expected to:

- Lead and conduct risk-based compliance reviews, audits and monitoring activities

- Prepare detailed reports, submissions and recommendations for senior stakeholders

- Provide expert advice on regulatory requirements, legislation and compliance obligations

- Support the development and enhancement of compliance frameworks, policies and procedures

- Coordinate responses to audit findings and monitor remediation activities

- Engage and influence stakeholders across a broad range of business areas





- Analyse compliance data and provide insights to support informed decision-making

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best-practice governance outcomes

What you'll need to succeed

- Demonstrated experience in compliance, risk, governance or regulatory roles

- Strong knowledge of legislative and regulatory frameworks

- Experience conducting audits, investigations or compliance reviews

- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

- Highly developed analytical, problem-solving and reporting capabilities

- Ability to interpret complex legislation and provide practical advice

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities

- Experience working within large, complex or highly regulated environments preferred
