Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their high-performing team in the South-East of Melbourne. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has at least 4 years' experience in estimating.
Your new role
You will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive electrical services tenders across a diverse portfolio of projects.
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for electrical services projects
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Conducting quantity take-offs and material assessments
- Obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Identifying project risks and opportunities during the tender phase
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers and delivery teams
- Supporting bid presentations and tender negotiations
- Maintaining accurate estimating records and cost databases
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator within commercial construction or building services
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, services and installation methodologies
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
- Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills
- Robust attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
