Join an exciting initiative where you'll provide onsite guidance for four young families living in a shared complex, helping them develop essential skills, boost their confidence, and cultivate independence. Your role is pivotal in providing them with the tools and resources for both them and their children to thrive.

About the job

Role location: Yarrabilba

Role type: Permanent, part-time (20 hours per week)

Pay range: $53.43 to $55.85 per hour based on experience, with salary packaging exempt from Fringe Benefits Tax available

As the Jinndii Waijung House Coordinator, you'll foster strong relationships with the four young families in the shared complex, offering both individual support and collective opportunities for growth.

Working closely with the YFS Step by Step team, you’ll help young families define their goals and ambitions, creating tailored strategies that enable them to thrive. Your "do what it takes" approach will ensure they receive the guidance they need to flourish.

About you

Aside from meeting the key capabilities outlined in the related role description available from the role description below, the ideal person for this role will be innovative, creative, flexible, culturally aware and inclusive in their practice.





You’ll be a excellent fit if:

- You are passionate and knowledgeable about backing young parents to thrive, and well-equipped with case management, coaching or support work experience working with vulnerable families.
- You understand child protection and domestic and family violence and can assess safety risks and deliver effective interventions. Completion of the Safe and Together Model is highly desirable.
- You have a strength-based and trauma informed approach in your framework of practice, with a strong family and child focus.
- Have knowledge of adverse childhood experiences (ACES), child development, and impacts of trauma.
- Can work independently and effectively communicate with the wider team when needed.
