Job - 1 Senior QA/QC Coordinator – NATA | ISO 9001 | ISO/IEC 17025

Location: Sydney, NSW

About the Role

Working closely with management and our technical team, you will assist with maintaining and improving ARL Laboratory Services' Quality Management System and ensuring our processes remain compliant with relevant quality and accreditation requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in quality and gain further experience in NATA-accredited testing and laboratory environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the maintenance and implementation of the company's Quality Management System (QMS).

- Support compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001 and NATA requirements.

- Assist with preparation for NATA audits and accreditation assessments.

- Maintain quality documentation, procedures, forms, registers and records.

- Assist with internal audits and compliance checks.

- Record and follow up non-conformances and corrective actions.

- Assist with document and record control.

- Maintain calibration and equipment-related quality records.

- Assist with maintaining personnel competency, training and authorisation records.

- Monitor compliance with relevant procedures, standards and client requirements.

- Assist technical and operational staff with quality-related requirements.

- Identify opportunities for improvement within the QMS.

- Prepare quality reports and documentation as required.

- Support management with general QA/QC and accreditation activities.

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, practical and keen to develop their career in quality and compliance.

You will ideally have:

- Previous experience in QA/QC, quality coordination, laboratory quality or a similar role.

- Experience or working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025.

- Experience or exposure to NATA accreditation requirements.

- Working knowledge of ISO 9001.

- Experience with internal audits, corrective actions or non-conformance management will be advantageous.





- Good written and verbal communication skills.

- Australian work rights.

Experience in any of the following will be highly regarded:

- NATA-accredited laboratory or testing environment.

- Destructive Testing (DT).

- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).

- Materials testing or mechanical testing.

- Welding inspection or testing.

- Calibration and equipment management.

- Internal auditing.

- Australian Standards and testing requirements.

Formal QA/QC qualifications are desirable but not essential. Practical experience and a good understanding of NATA, ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 9001 will be highly valued.

Job 2 - Welding Inspector

Location: Sydney, NSW
Employment Type: Ad-Hoc Contract | Approx. 2–3 Months - with the possibility of further work

About the Role

As a Welding Inspector, you will be responsible for carrying out welding inspection activities at various project and client sites, ensuring welding work complies with relevant Australian Standards, project specifications, inspection requirements and client expectations.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Welding Inspector who enjoys a flexible, project-based role and is comfortable travelling to different sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct visual inspection of welding and fabrication activities.

- Inspect weld preparation, fit-up, welding processes and completed welds.

- Review welding documentation and verify compliance with project requirements.

- Verify welding activities against applicable Australian Standards, specifications and approved procedures.

- Review and verify WPS/PQR documentation where required.

- Check welder qualifications and relevant certification.

- Prepare clear and accurate inspection reports.

- Identify, document and report welding defects and non-conformances.

- Liaise with clients, contractors, welders and project personnel on inspection requirements.

- Coordinate or witness NDT activities where required.

- Ensure all inspection activities are completed professionally, safely and within required timeframes.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

- Demonstrated experience as a Welding Inspector.

- Strong knowledge of welding inspection and fabrication processes.





- Good understanding of relevant Australian Standards and welding codes.

- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols and specifications.

- Experience with WPS/PQR and welder qualification requirements.

- A current Australian driver's licence.

- Full Australian working rights.

- Welding Inspector certification/qualification such as AWS, CSWIP or equivalent.

- NDT qualifications such as AS 3998 / ISO 9712 Level 2 or Level 3.

- Experience with Visual Testing (VT).

- Experience with Dye Penetrant Testing (PT) and/or Magnetic Particle Testing (MT).

- Experience with Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and/or Radiographic Testing (RT).

- Experience in structural steel, pressure equipment, piping, fabrication or similar industries.

- Previous experience working for an inspection, testing or NDT company.

- NATA-accredited laboratory or inspection experience.

Job 3 - Industrial Radiographer

Location: Sydney, NSW and Hemmant, QLD
Employment Type: Full Time

About the Role

As a Radiographer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and integrity of critical industrial assets across the mining and manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct Gammy Ray as well as X Ray on pipeline, Tanks, Vessels and Tubes and process and interpret the results.

- Conduct a range of non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques such as ultrasonic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant.

- Interpret inspection results and provide detailed technical reports to clients.

- Ensure all testing is carried out in compliance with relevant Australian Standards and industry best practices

- Maintain and calibrate Densitometer and Film Viewer to the highest standards.

- Maintain and calibrate MT and UT testing equipment to the highest standards.

- Collaborate with project supervisor to develop efficient testing strategies.

- Provide on-site support and guidance to other team members as required.

About you

The successful candidate will have:

- Must have ASNT Level III or AINDT Level II or PCN Level II in Radiography.

- 3 years' experience as an Industrial Radiographer, preferably in the mining or manufacturing sectors.

- ASNT Level II or AINDT Level II or PCN Level II in UT/PT/MT will be an advantage.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex technical data.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues·

- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to upholding the highest safety and quality standards.
