For many people, a home loan is one of the most important financial decisions they'll ever make. As a Lending Manager with Teachers Mutual Bank Limited, you'll play a pivotal role in helping members navigate that journey with confidence, clarity and care.

This is an chance for an experienced lending professional who enjoys building trusted relationships, delivering tailored lending solutions and creating exceptional member experiences. You'll manage lending opportunities from initial conversation through to settlement and beyond, helping members achieve their financial goals while contributing to the continued growth of a purpose-led, member-owned bank

As part of the Lending Solutions Team within the First Party Lending Channel, you'll be the trusted adviser members rely on throughout their lending journey. Your expertise will help members understand their options, make informed decisions and access solutions that support their long-term financial wellbeing. You'll combine strong lending knowledge with a genuine commitment to service, ensuring every interaction is professional, compliant and member focused.

What you'll do

- Manage home lending applications end-to-end, from initial enquiry through to settlement
- Build trusted member relationships through proactive communication and expert guidance
- Complete detailed financial assessments and prepare high-quality lending recommendations




- Identify opportunities to support members with complementary products and services that align with their needs
- Ensure all lending activities meet responsible lending obligations, regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Deliver exceptional service while achieving performance, quality and service benchmarks

What you'll bring

You enjoy helping people achieve their goals and take pride in delivering outstanding service. You're confident managing complex lending scenarios, balancing commercial outcomes with responsible lending principles, and building long-term member relationships.

You bring a proactive approach, solid communication skills and a commitment to continuous improvement. Most importantly, you're motivated by creating positive experiences and making banking simple and accessible for members.

Essential

- FSR Tier 2 (RG146) accreditation
- Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking
- Minimum two years' lending experience
- Demonstrated experience conducting lending assessments and managing loan applications
- Strong knowledge of responsible lending and credit assessment principles
- Excellent organisational, communication and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to delivering exceptional member experiences

Nice to have

- Previous experience working within a mutual bank, banking or financial services environment
- Experience supporting complex lending applications
- Strong understanding of cross-sell and member retention strategies
- Leadership or mentoring experience within a lending environment
