Provide senior-level HSEQ leadership across a portfolio of remote sites, partnering with operational leaders to strengthen safety culture, ensure compliance, and build lasting capability. This autonomous FIFO role focuses on embedding robust HSEQ systems, coaching site teams, managing risk, and driving continuous improvement, while fostering a strong "See, Care, Share" culture where safety, accountability, and employee wellbeing are at the forefront.

The Position
- Typically, 5 days on 2 days off roster, Working in the Brisbane Office/hybrid work arrangement and frequent travel to sites.
- Provide strategic HSEQ leadership across a portfolio of remote FIFO sites, partnering with operational leaders to drive safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Coach, mentor, and develop Site Managers and teams to build capability, confidence, and ownership of HSEQ outcomes.
- Lead risk management initiatives, ensuring hazards are identified, assessed, and effectively controlled across site operations.
- Support compliance with WHS, environmental, hygiene, quality, client, and company requirements through audits, inspections, and assurance activities.
- Conduct and support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the implementation of practical corrective actions and lessons learned.
- Analyse HSEQ performance data, trends, and lead indicators to provide insights and drive improved operational performance.
- Build strong relationships with clients and site stakeholders, delivering training, toolbox talks, and leadership engagement activities that strengthen safety culture.
- Develop and execute a structured FIFO site engagement plan, prioritising support based on risk,
performance, site maturity, and operational requirements.
The Person
- Tertiary qualification in HSEQ or a related discipline, with a strong understanding of WHS legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
- Minimum 3 years' experience supporting safe operations, with a proven ability to influence leaders and embed HSEQ standards across teams.
- Demonstrated experience within FIFO, remote, or multi-site environments, implementing and monitoring HSEQ programs.
- Robust leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to drive safety performance improvements and build HSEQ capability.
- Experienced in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementing practical, sustainable corrective actions.
- High-level communication and stakeholder management skills, including client engagement and senior leadership reporting.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and coordinate a FIFO site engagement plan across a geographically dispersed portfolio.
- Advanced computer literacy, current unrestricted driver's licence, and the ability to meet mine site medical and client entry requirements. Certificate IV Training & Assessment and a current Coal Board Medical are highly regarded. Demonstrated experience in risk assessments
