Customer Service Officer | Wyndham Area

$39.00 per hour + Super | Multiple Opportunities Available

These are short-term assignments commencing ASAP, with opportunities available through to November, December and January.

Seeking Customer Service Officers to join a large and well-respected local government organisation in Melbourne's west.

We have several opportunities available with both full-time and part-time arrangements on offer, making these roles ideal for experienced customer service professionals looking for flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the local community.

Available Working Arrangements

Full-Time

- 38 hours per week
- Monday to Friday

Part time

- 21 hours per week
- Monday, Thursday and Friday

About the Role

As a Customer Service Officer, you will be the first point of contact for community members, providing exceptional service across both face-to-face and telephone channels.

You will assist customers with enquiries, resolve issues where possible, process payments, maintain accurate records and contribute to a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities include:

- Providing professional front counter and contact centre support
- Responding to customer enquiries via phone and in person




- Processing payments and cashiering transactions
- Managing customer requests and maintaining accurate records
- Assisting with complaints and customer resolutions
- Maintaining customer information and community resources
- Supporting administrative and reporting functions
- Working collaboratively within a customer-focused team environment

About You

- Previous experience in a customer service, contact centre or reception environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence handling a high volume of enquiries
- Experience working with multiple systems and applications
- Valuable attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Cash handling, EFTPOS or cashiering experience will be highly regarded
- A positive, professional and team-focused approach
