Ventura Bus Lines is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Officer to join our Finance team based in Dandenong. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly capable accounts professional who enjoys a hands-on role, thrives on problem solving, and is looking to further develop their career within a stable and growing organisation.

As a senior member of the team, you'll provide guidance and support to colleagues, contribute ideas to improve processes, and play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business.

The role offers hybrid working arrangements, genuine career progression opportunities, and occasional travel between our Dandenong office and Crown Coaches Head Office in Nunawading.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Process supplier invoices, payments and customer invoicing
- Monitor and report on aged debtors and creditors
- Process and reconcile transactions through online banking platforms
- Support payroll-related financial transactions
- Liaise with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders
- Provide guidance and support to Accounts Officers on finance processes and best practice
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiencies
- Contribute to projects and initiatives that support the ongoing success of the Finance team

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Minimum 5 years' experience working across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Previous experience in a Senior Accounts Officer, Accounts Officer or similar finance role
- Experience using online banking platforms and processing electronic payments
- Strong reconciliation experience and attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (preferred)
- Experience using ERP/accounting systems
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying solutions
- The ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment




- Confidence providing guidance and support to colleagues
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
