Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive security engineering, accreditation, and assurance activities across a suite of complex data and system integration projects in alignment with strict compliance frameworks.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on the implementation and enforcement of security controls across diverse technical landscapes, including cloud-based, on-premise, and automated environments.
- Support system security certification, execute rigorous risk assessments, and lead strategic planning for robust security operations.
- Proactively manage and monitor threat intelligence, automated operations, vulnerability assessments, and cryptographic/certificate architectures.
- Develop and maintain explicit, high-quality security policies,
documentation, records, and reports to facilitate informed, data-driven decision-making.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this position, you will ideally bring:
- Technical Toolkit: Deep knowledge of the Information Security Manual (ISM), Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), and formal system accreditation processes. Experience utilizing tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS, and modern security automation platforms is highly regarded.
- Experience: A proven track record in ICT security engineering, successfully guiding systems through security certification, risk remediation, and compliance assessments within a complex government or Defence environment.
- Core Capabilities: Leadership capabilities aligned with SFIA Level 6 (SCTY), with a strong ability to advise on emerging threat landscapes, review new business initiatives, and communicate technical security risks to diverse stakeholder groups.
Eligibility & Clearance Requirements
- Security Clearance: Due to the nature of this environment, candidates must hold a current NV2 security clearance.
