Sell In Style Property Styling | Brisbane QLD
Full-Time | Creative + Management Role

Sell In Style Property Styling is one of Brisbane’s leading property styling businesses, transforming homes into beautifully presented spaces that help agents, homeowners, developers, and builders achieve exceptional sales results.

As our business continues to grow across both Sell In Style and our high-end brand EVOCH, we are looking for an experienced and driven Stylist Project Manager to join our Staging Department.

This is a unique role combining creativity, project management, people leadership, and commercial accountability.

You will have the opportunity to create beautiful spaces, select furniture and accessories, develop the vision for properties, and lead installations, and this role goes well beyond styling.

This is a Management Position.

Team members will report to you, and you will be responsible for leading their performance, setting expectations, managing productivity, developing their capabilities, and driving accountability against clear KPIs, Targets, Deadlines, Quality Standards, and Company Expectations.

Success in this position is therefore measured not only by how beautiful a property looks when the installation is complete, but also by how effectively you lead the people in your team and deliver the project results required by the business.

About the Role

As a Stylist Project Manager, you will take ownership of staging projects from planning and selections through to installation and completion, you are direct responsible from end to end of delivering the staging projects generated by our sales team.

You will create the styling vision for each property while coordinating and leading the team members allocated to your projects.

You will be expected to know what needs to be achieved, communicate it clearly, allocate responsibilities, manage time and resources, monitor progress, solve problems, and ensure your team delivers the required outcome.

You will work closely with our Operations Manager, Creative Director, Warehouse & Logistics team, and Marketing, Sales & Service team to ensure every project is delivered beautifully, efficiently, safely, and on time.

This role requires someone who can balance creative passion with strong management discipline and accountability.

Your Background Could Be Different From Traditional Property Styling

While previous experience in property styling, interiors, furniture, interior design, or visual merchandising would certainly be advantageous, we are particularly interested in candidates who already understand how to manage and lead people in a performance-driven environment.

You may currently be, or previously have been, a:

Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Department Manager, 2IC, 3IC, Team Leader, Visual Merchandising Leader, or other high-performing retail leader within businesses such as homewares, furniture, interiors, fashion, lifestyle, or large-format retail.

For example, someone coming from environments similar to Pillow Talk, Adairs, Freedom, Early Settler, Bed Bath N’ Table, Spotlight, IKEA, or other structured retail businesses may bring many of the leadership capabilities we are looking for.

What matters is that you understand the balance between being creative and passionate about the product(staging) and customer experience while also being responsible for people, performance,

standards, KPIs, productivity, and results.

You have learned that a successful manager cannot simply do great work personally, great managers must be able to get great results through the people they lead. What You Will Be Responsible For

Creating and executing the styling vision for residential property staging projects.

Selecting furniture, artwork, accessories, soft furnishings, and other styling elements appropriate to each property and client brief.

Project managing staging jobs from preparation through installation and completion.

Leading the Stylists, Junior Stylists, Stylist Assistants, and other team members allocated to your projects.

Setting clear expectations for your team and ensuring responsibilities are understood.

Managing team performance, productivity, quality, behavior, communication, and accountability.

Driving your team toward agreed KPIs, project targets, time expectations, and operational metrics.

Ensuring selections and project preparation are completed accurately and within required timeframes.

Managing installations so projects are completed efficiently, safely, on schedule, and to SIS or EVOCH quality standards.

Monitoring project hours, labor utilization, productivity, errors, rework, and other performance measures.

Providing feedback, coaching, training, and direction to team members.

Identifying underperformance or behavioral issues and addressing them promptly and professionally with your team.

Conducting project briefings and ensuring team members understand the required outcome before work starts.

Taking ownership when projects do not go according to plan and finding solutions rather than passing responsibility.

Communicating effectively with Warehouse & Logistics, Sales & Service, Creative Direction, and Staging Management.

Protecting furniture, inventory, company assets, client properties, and company standards.

Identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, quality, and team performance.

Upholding the SIS Rules of the Game, company procedures, and our values of Communication, Ownership, Service, Integrity, Passion, and Discipline.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Stylist Project Manager creates beautiful properties and builds a high-performing team around them.

You consistently deliver projects that meet our creative standards while also achieving the operational expectations of the business.

Your projects are organised. Your selections are completed a head of time. Your installations run efficiently. Teh people on your team know what is expected of them. Problems are identified early. Communication is clear. Team members are accountable. And the results can be measured.

You understand that creativity and commercial performance are not competing priorities.

About You

You are passionate about interiors, furniture, visual presentation, and creating beautiful spaces, but you are equally comfortable leading people and being accountable for results.

You enjoy being creative, but you also like structure.

You understand that being a manager means more than being the most experienced person on the floor. It means setting standards, communicating expectations, making decisions, developing people, following up, measuring performance, and having difficult conversations when required.

You are comfortable being responsible for the performance of other people.

You do not avoid accountability.

You understand KPIs and targets and see them as tools that provide clarity around what success looks like.

You are organised, energetic, commercially aware, solutions-focused, and capable of maintaining high standards in a fast-moving environment where multiple projects may be occurring simultaneously.

The Ideal Candidate

We are a high performing team, the ideal candidate will bring strong creative instincts and visual presentation skills together with demonstrated experience in people leadership, team accountability, KPI management, coaching and performance management, project or workload planning, clear communication, problem solving, attention to detail, and delivering results in a quick-paced environment.

You should be comfortable leading from the front while also holding others accountable for their responsibilities.

You will need the confidence to celebrate and reward strong performance when it occurs and to address poor performance when expectations are not being met.

Most importantly, you will have a genuine desire to develop into an exceptional creative project manager and people leader, rather than simply progressing as an individual stylist.

What We Offer

This is an opportunity to join one of Brisbane’s leading property styling companies at an exciting stage of growth.

You will work within a highly visual and creative industry while delivering genuine management and leadership responsibilities.

As you growth with us you will have the opportunity to submerge across both Sell In Style and our premium EVOCH brand, lead people, manage significant staging projects, contribute ideas, develop your career, and directly influence the performance and success of the department.

We offer a fast-paced environment where strong performers are given responsibility, development opportunities, explicit expectations, and the ability to make a genuine impact.
