Auto Electrician Apprentice

Cert III Automotive Electrical Technology – (AUR30320)

As an Auto Electrician Apprentice, you’ll learn how to install, test, diagnose and repair electrical systems used in some of Australia’s most specialised vehicles.

Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you’ll gain hands-on experience on:

- Ambulances
- Fire and rescue vehicles
- Mobile health units
- Specialised service vehicles
- Custom one-off vehicle builds

You will learn how to:

- Manufacture wiring harnesses from technical drawings
- Install vehicle wiring and electrical systems
- Complete electrical fit-outs and cable routing
- Assemble and install control boards and control systems
- Conduct electrical testing and fault finding
- Integrate vehicle electrical systems and components
- Maintain and repair specialised vehicles

No two days are the same, with opportunities to work on unique custom builds and production vehicle programs.

Coach Builder Apprentice

Cert III Automotive Manufacturing Technical Operations – Bus, Truck and Trailer – (AUM30218)

As a Coach Builder Apprentice,



you’ll learn how to manufacture, assemble and fit out specialised vehicle bodies used by emergency services, healthcare providers and commercial customers.

You will gain experience working on:

- Ambulances
- Fire and rescue vehicles
- Mobile medical vehicles
- Specialised fleet vehicles
- Bespoke customer builds

You will learn how to:

- Read and interpret technical drawings
- Assemble vehicle bodies and components
- Work with a variety of materials and fabrication techniques
- Install internal and external vehicle equipment
- Perform modifications and repairs
- Manufacture custom vehicle solutions to required specifications

This trade combines craftsmanship, fabrication and problem-solving to create specialised vehicles that support communities across Australia.

What You’ll Be Doing

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will:

- Learn trade skills from qualified tradespeople and mentors
- Perform duties appropriate to your stage of training
- Assist with operational and project work
- Complete TAFE and workplace training requirements
- Maintain training records and logbooks
- Work safely with tools, equipment and machinery
- Follow company procedures and workplace safety requirements




- Maintain a clean and organised work environment

What We’re Looking For

To be successful, you will:

- A genuine interest in learning a trade
- Commitment to completing a four-year apprenticeship
- Ability to regularly attend TAFE training
- A current driver’s licence or reliable transport
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to balance work and study commitments
- High attention to detail and quality standards
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
