The Opportunity

We’re continuing to build its capability across the ICT sector and has a consistent flow of Systems Engineering and Systems Administration opportunities across Federal Government, Defence and the commercial market.

These opportunities range from long-term labour hire contracts through to permanent and non-ongoing positions, covering a variety of technical environments and levels of seniority.

We are seeking expressions of interest from Systems Engineers and Systems Administrators who are currently considering their next move or would like to be kept informed of upcoming opportunities across the Canberra market.

Our client base is focused primarily on the ACT region, with many roles requiring candidates to attend Canberra-based offices for at least a portion of the working week.

The Role

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from professionals working across Systems Engineering, Systems Administration and related infrastructure environments.

Depending on the specific opportunity, responsibilities may include:

- Administering and supporting Windows and/or Linux server environments
- Monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting enterprise systems
- Managing Active Directory, Group Policy and user access
- Supporting server, virtualisation and infrastructure environments
- Managing system upgrades, patching,



configuration and maintenance
- Supporting VMware and other virtualisation technologies
- Working with technologies such as SCCM/MECM, Intune and Microsoft 365
- Using PowerShell, Bash or other scripting and automation tools
- Responding to incidents and resolving complex technical issues
- Maintaining system documentation, procedures and technical records
- Supporting secure ICT environments and implementing system security controls
- Working collaboratively with infrastructure, network, cloud, cyber and application teams

Opportunities may range from Systems Administrator and Systems Engineer positions through to senior and specialist engineering roles.

The Ideal Person

We are interested in speaking with candidates currently working as:

- Systems Engineers
- Systems Administrators
- Senior Systems Engineers
- Windows / Wintel Engineers
- Linux / RHEL Engineers
- Server Engineers
- Infrastructure Systems Engineers

You will ideally have experience supporting systems within a complex enterprise workplace and strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

For many of our Federal Government and Defence opportunities, Australian Citizenship is required, while an active Baseline, NV1, NV2 or PV security clearance will significantly increase the range of opportunities available to you.

Previous Federal Government, Defence or other secure enterprise experience is highly regarded.

Salary / Rate

- Permanent: $110K – $165K including Super
- Contract: $120 – $160 per hour including Super
- Rates and salaries will vary depending on the specific role, level of experience and technical specialisation.
