Senior HSE Advisor

- $150,000 (flexible DOE) + Super + Vehicle, Melbourne-based role with regional travel
- Senior HSE position supporting a portfolio of utilities and infrastructure operations across Victoria

Our client is a large, well-established infrastructure and services organisation delivering essential operations and maintenance services across critical utility networks throughout Australia.

With a strong commitment to safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement, they are seeking an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to support operational teams and drive positive safety outcomes across a diverse portfolio of works.

About the Role
Reporting to senior operational and HSE leadership, this role will provide HSE support across multiple operational sites and projects throughout Victoria.

Working closely with frontline leaders and field-based teams, you will be responsible for supporting risk management initiatives, conducting investigations and audits, improving HSE performance and strengthening safety culture across the business.

This role will suit an experienced safety professional who enjoys being visible in the field, building strong stakeholder relationships and providing practical safety leadership.

Duties

- Partner with operational leaders and site teams to improve HSE performance and manage risk
- Provide practical advice on HSE compliance, systems and industry best practice
- Conduct site inspections, audits and assurance activities




- Lead incident investigations and support corrective actions
- Support critical risk management and continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor HSE performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Build strong relationships with operational stakeholders across multiple locations
- Assist with the implementation and continual improvement of HSE systems and processes

Skills & Experience

- Proven experince in Health, Safety and Environment roles within utilities, infrastructure, power, transmission, distribution or related projects
- Certificate IV, Diploma or Degree qualification in Work Health & Safety or a related discipline
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
- Strong understanding of HSE legislation, risk management and management systems
- Experience leading investigations, audits and assurance activities
- Major project experience desirable
- Trade background highly regarded
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Practical, hands-on approach to safety leadership
