Job Overview
n
Uniting Garden Suburb has 3 separate households, each with between 25–30 residents. This includes a secure household for people living with dementia or mental health illness. Your Uniting Homemaker ensures that the community is thriving and doing things that are meaningful and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Supervise the smooth operation of a household.
n
- Allocate work to team members based on resident choices, promoting a cohesive and harmonious work environment.
n
- Manage queries and feedback from residents, families, co‐workers and service providers.
n
- Monitor equipment safety and arrange maintenance and repairs.
n
- Track supplies and consumables and re‐order as needed within budget.
n
- Assist residents with daily living activities and personal care, prioritizing dignity and independence.
n
- Continuously improve service quality in line with Aged Care Accreditation Standards.
n
n
Key Qualifications
n
n
- Certificate IV in Aged Care or equivalent qualification.
n
- Previous supervisory experience in aged or community care (or a comparable industry).
n
- Adaptable, resourceful and able to live Uniting values of compassion, respect, imagination and boldness daily.
n
- Experience using client/data management systems.
n
- Capable of working up to 60 hours per fortnight.
n
- Optional additional certifications: Assist Clients with Medication (HLTHPS006), Recognise Healthy Body Systems (HLTAP301B), Provide Support to People Living with Dementia (CHCAGE005).
n
- National Police Check, References and pre‐employment screening required.
