Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager, this role plays a key leadership position in the day-to-day operation of our manufacturing facility, producing and distributing high-quality fibreglass swimming pools across Queensland and other states.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys working closely with people, process, and product to deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

n

n
- Lead and reinforce a strong safety-first culture across the site
n
- Ensure compliance with WHS policies, procedures, and safe work practices
n
- Provide daily leadership to production and support teams
n
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop team members
n
- Coach, support, and hold teams accountable to performance and behavior standards
n
- Foster a high performing, engaged, and respectful workplace culture
n

Operations & Quality

n

n
- Support daily production planning and execution to meet quality and delivery targets
n
- Maintain high product quality standards and drive continuous improvement
n
- Investigate operational issues, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions
n
- Partner with team to ensure productive workflow and resource utilization
n
- Work closely with the Inventory and Logistics teams to ensure accurate stock control
n
- Ensure materials, labor, and equipment are available to meet production requirements
n




- Build strong working relationships with franchise partners to coordinate pool deliveries
n
- Collaborate with site and national leadership to implement safety, quality, cost, and process initiatives
n
- Lead and support improvement projects across safety, quality, people, and operational efficiency
n
- Assist in developing and embedding standardized processes across the facility
n

About You

n

n
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment
n
- Strong people management skills with a hands-on leadership style
n
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operation
n
- Practical problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
n
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of the business
n
- Experience with inventory control, production coordination, and logistics
n
- Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems)
n
- Demonstrated experience recruiting, developing, and leading teams to deliver results
n
- Experience in fiberglass, composites, or lean manufacturing is highly regarded but not essential
n
