Lead the technical delivery of the upgrade from SharePoint Server 2016 to SharePoint Server Subscription Edition in an Azure IaaS-hosted workplace. The role is accountable for establishing a repeatable farm-build validating and remediating custom SharePoint solutions, and supporting migration through testing, cutover, rollback and operational handover.

Key responsibilities

n

- Build and configure new SharePoint Subscription Edition farms on Azure IaaS.
n
- Recreate farm topology, web applications, service applications, authentication, certificates, permissions and service accounts.
n
- Perform database readiness checks and database-attach upgrades.
n
- Configure and validate Search, User Profile, Managed Metadata and Secure Store.
n
- Assess,



deploy and remediate WSP and full-trust farm solutions.
n
- Troubleshoot custom C# components, including Web Parts, event receivers and Feature receivers.
n
- Validate workflows, Microsoft Graph, Entra ID, MSAL, REST and WCF integrations.
n
- Support HA, load balancing, DNS, networking and security configuration.
n
- Support testing, Production cutover, rollback and hypercare.
n
- Establish a reusable upgrade pattern across all environments.

Mandatory technical skills Must have:

- SharePoint Server 2016 and Subscription Edition
n
- Direct SharePoint 2016 to Subscription Edition upgrades
n
- Database-attach upgrade experience
