Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Kitchen Hand to join our culinary team at Sage Hotel Wollongong. As a Kitchen Hand, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our kitchen operates smoothly while providing exceptional service and contributing to the overall guest experience. Core Responsibilities:

- Adhere to Brand and Service Standards: Follow Vista Hospitality Group (VHG) standards and represent Sage Hotels with pride.
n
- Guest Satisfaction: Address and resolve problems and complaints with professionalism. Act as a Brand Ambassador for Sage Hotels and VHG.
n
- Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all VHG Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
n
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with your colleagues and management,



offering flexibility based on the needs of the kitchen.
n
- Kitchen Maintenance: Care for all kitchen equipment, minimize breakages, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
n
- Food Prep Support: Assist with assembling and preparing ingredients, measuring dish ingredients, and setting up workstations.
n
- Cleanliness & Orderliness: Ensure a sanitized kitchen setting, manage pantry duties, and store food and other items correctly.
n
- Minimize Wastage: Follow proper storage and preparation techniques to reduce food waste.
n
- Communication & Reporting: Report maintenance issues promptly and share feedback during departmental meetings.

Requirements:

- Previous kitchen hand or food preparation experience is preferred but not essential.

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

- Good communication and teamwork skills.

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
