About Us

Based in Hastings, this local sporting competition delivers Australian Rules Football and Netball across the Mornington Peninsula and South-Eastern Melbourne. With 22 member clubs and 3 associate clubs, the league supports multiple men's, women's football and netball competitions involving thousands of players, volunteers, officials and supporters every season.

As Operations Manager, you'll lead a small team of two an Operations Coordinator and League Administration Coordinator and oversee the smooth running of the league's competitions from fixture release right through to finals. You'll be the person making sure the right people are in the right place, the rules are followed, issues are resolved and competition day runs like clockwork.

Tasks & Responsibilities

- Own competition operations across all football and netball divisions, including fixtures, results, clearances, permits and finals eligibility
- Lead tribunal, match review and integrity processes, ensuring matters are managed fairly, consistently and professionally
- Build strong relationships with football and netball umpiring associations and key competition stakeholders
- Plan and deliver the finals series, from the operational detail through to game day execution




- Coordinate the delivery of major league events, creating great experiences for clubs, players, officials and supporters
- Manage a small team, creating clarity, accountability and a strong team culture
- Work closely with clubs, volunteers, officials and league stakeholders to keep the competition running smoothly.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and the overall competition experience

Qualifications & Experience

- Background in sports administration, competition management, operations, events or a similar setting
- Strong organisational and coordination with communication and stakeholder management skills
- Confidence to deal with clubs, officials, volunteers and challenging situations professionally
- Ability to lead, attention to detail and a practical, solutions-focused mindset.
- A genuine passion for community sport and the role it plays in bringing people together

You’ll be someone who loves sport, the people, the passion, the politics and the occasional chaos and knows how to keep things moving.

A current Working with Children Check, National Police Check (or willing to obtain) and Drivers Licence is a requirement for this role.
