- Own the branch customer experience and act as the senior escalation point for service issues
- Build relationships with customers, suppliers, overseas offices and agent partners
- Protect existing revenue, develop new opportunities and exceed growth targets
- Lead day-to-day branch operations and hold department managers accountable
- Ensure import, export, customs, transport and warehouse activities are timely, compliant and cost-effective
- Improve local and global operational performance measures
- Provide tools, equipment, capacity and skills for secure, efficient and quality-focused delivery
- Resolve non-conformance and drive continuous improvement
- Own the branch profit and loss result and exceed monthly budget targets
- Control operating costs, resources and revenue allocation
- Review financial, pipeline, debtor and key performance reports
- Ensure strong debtor governance and act on overdue or problem accounts
- Lead, coach and empower direct reports
- Manage workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, performance, development, retention and succession with Human Resources support
- Ensure compliance with operational blueprints, procedures, policies and delegated authorities
- Maintain knowledge of customs, freight forwarding, licensing, certification and regulatory requirements
- Drive accurate use of CargoWise One, Dynamics and other company systems
- Keep customer, operational and financial records audit-ready
- Act on audit findings, control gaps and operational risks

Requirements

- Proven leadership experience in international freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain operations
- At least five years of relevant experience




- Strong Western Australian freight market knowledge and established customer and supplier networks
- Commercial capability across business development, customer management, budgets and profit delivery
- Demonstrated success leading people, improving performance and managing change
- Strong knowledge of international trade, customs, compliance and operational controls
- Confident use of logistics, customer and business systems
- Clear communication, sound judgement, resilience and ability to build trust across diverse stakeholders
