About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join our Civil team in Darwin.

n

This is an chance to work across a diverse portfolio of civil projects, collaborating with clients and Fyfe's national multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, commercially pragmatic engineering solutions.

n

You will be responsible for delivering the technical aspects of civil engineering projects, with the opportunity to work across assignments of varying complexity.

n

Key responsibilities

n

- Produce civil engineering drawings and designs, including stormwater drainage and erosion control.
n
- Design crossings for waterways, pipelines, rail and roads.
n
- Prepare civil construction scopes of work.
n
- Develop concept, feasibility and detailed design documentation and coordinate relevant reviews and approvals.
n
- Ensure engineering designs comply with relevant Australian Standards, guides, codes and industry best practice.
n
- Contribute to project specifications, scopes of work, services reviews and opinions of probable cost.
n
- Determine construction methods, materials and quality standards.
n
- Prepare and interpret specifications, drawings, plans, construction methods and procedures.
n
- Undertake site inspections with clients, contractors, councils and regulatory authorities as required.

About you

n

n
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering.
n




- RPEQ accreditation or a willingness to work towards accreditation is highly desirable.
n
- Strong analytical and technical report writing skills.
n
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex design requirements.
n
- The ability to manage competing project priorities and deliver within agreed timeframes and quality standards.
n
- Proficiency in relevant civil engineering software.
n

You will also bring strong interpersonal and written communication skills, a commitment to client satisfaction and quality, and the ability to work effectively across multiple projects and competing deadlines.
