As a Senior Chef you’ll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for the residents of St Vincent’s Care Services Eltham .

St Vincent’s Care Services Eltham is just 20 kilometres north-east of Melbourne’s city centre and is well known for its vast amount of green space. We provide a welcoming and inclusive community where our residents enjoy the comfort of a relaxed lifestyle.

This is a Permanent Part Time opportunity with 38 hours/fortnight with potential to increase to Full Time.

Things that work for us:

- High volume cooking experience
- Flexibility to manage special dietary requirements
- Ensure compliance with food safety hygiene standards
- Trade qualification in Commercial cooking and experience in fine dining or Hotels (preferred)
- Current FSS Certificate (Food Safety Supervisor)




- Roster management and working within approved budget while the head chef is away
- Be part of the leadership team in ensuring a superior dining service
- Maintaining a protected environment for residents and staff
- Previous experience in an aged care facility or bistro/hotel; ideally five years or more (desirable)
- An ability to work a multidisciplinary team within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lead under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus, with an ability to implement change and drive a strong team culture;
- National Police Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role.
