Springfield PPT - Educator/Food Prep Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Educator to join our Springfield Lakes OSHC team, working Part-Time word Monday to Friday from 12:00pm to 5:00pm .
This unique role combines hands-on educator responsibilities with food preparation also. Working alongside the Long Day Care Cook in a shared kitchen environment, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious afternoon tea for children attending the service. You will also support children by contributing to the delivery of a safe, engaging and welcoming setting.
Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve afternoon tea for children attending OSHC.
- Complete kitchen clean-up and preparation for the following day's service.
- Develop healthy and child-friendly menus.
- Manage food ordering and stock control.
- engage with children during parts of the afternoon program.
- Supervise and engage with children to ensure their safety and wellbeing
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
- Maintain a clean and organized environment
- Support children with behavioural and emotional needs in a respectful and professional manner.

Job Requirements:

- Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services (or working towards) or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines would be desirable but not essential.
- Food Safety Certificate.
- Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Current completion (or willingness to complete prior to commencement) of mandatory National Child Training (via Geckko).
- A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based environment
