ANZUK Education is seeking passionate and experienced Trauma-Informed Educators for casual opportunities across schools in Melbourne's South Eastern suburbs , with current demand inOakleigh, Clayton, Dandenong, Keysborough and surrounding areas. We partner with a range of mainstream and specialist school settings that support students with diverse learning, behavioural, social, and emotional needs. These schools are committed to creating safe, inclusive, and supportive environments where every student can thrive.
We are particularly interested in educators who have experience supporting students affected by trauma and who are committed to building positive relationships that support engagement, wellbeing, and learning outcomes.
In this role, you will:
- Support students using trauma-informed teaching and behaviour support strategies
- Create safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments
- Build positive relationships with students and staff
- Adapt your teaching approach to meet a range of additional learning and behavioural needs
- Work across both mainstream and specialist educational settings
- Make a meaningful impact on student wellbeing, engagement, and achievement
Educators with Berry Street Education Model training are highly encouraged to apply. Skills & Experience To be successful, you will have:
- Experience working with children and young people impacted by trauma
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practices within educational settings
- Berry Street Education Model training (highly desirable)
- Experience supporting students with additional needs, including behavioural, social, emotional, intellectual, or developmental needs (highly desirable)
- Solid relationship-building and classroom management skills
- Excellent communication skills, patience, empathy, and resilience
- A genuine passion for supporting diverse learners
Requirements
- A valid Working with Children's Check (Employee) or current VIT registration
- Recent experience working with children or young people (outlined in your CV)
- Two professional referees who have supervised you in the last two years
- Working rights in Australia
