School Cleaner (Relief Pool) | Murrumba State Secondary College

We are seeking reliable and flexible Cleaners to join our relief pool.

This role is ideal for candidates looking for casual work that can fit around other commitments while gaining experience within a school environment.

Role Details

- Position: School Cleaner
- Location: Murrumba State Secondary College, Murrumba Downs, QLD
- Start Date: ASAP
- Hours: Casual relief pool, no guaranteed or fixed hours.
- Availability required for morning shifts (5:00am to 8:00am) and/or afternoon shifts (2:00pm to 6:00pm)
- Pay: From $33.85 per hour + penalties + super
- Contract: Casual

Strong performance may lead to ongoing opportunities, including potential pathways to permanent employment with the Department of Education.

Duties include

- Cleaning classrooms, staff rooms and administration areas
- Cleaning bathrooms and amenities
- Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors
- Emptying bins and removing waste

What We're Looking For

- Reliable and flexible with availability across the required shift times




- Confident communicating in both spoken and written English
- Able to work independently and follow instructions
- Physically capable of carrying out all cleaning duties

To be considered, you must have

- A current Blue Card
- A National Police Clearance issued within the last 3 months
- Previous cleaning experience within a Department of Education environment is highly regarded but not essential.
- Applicants with commercial, healthcare, hospitality or other cleaning experience are encouraged to apply.
