Talent International is proud to be supporting Journey Beyond in the search for an experienced Cyber Security Technical Lead to join their Adelaide-based technology team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly hands-on cyber security professional who wants broader ownership while remaining close to the technology. The role is expected to be approximately 80% hands-on, with technical capability and implementation experience prioritised over extensive people-management experience.

What You'll Be Doing

n

n
- Hands-on implementation and improvement of cyber security controls and initiatives.
n
- Manage vulnerability identification, remediation, threat detection and incident response.
n
- Strengthen security across network, application and cloud environments.
n
- Contribute to and execute the Group's cyber security strategy and roadmap.
n
- Undertake PCI DSS reviews, cyber risk assessments, security assurance and third-party security reviews.
n
- Embed security-by-design across technology projects and platforms.
n
- Provide cyber security advice and reporting to senior stakeholders.
n
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to the existing Cyber Security team.

What We're Looking For

n





We're particularly interested in candidates who have progressed through a technical cyber security/security engineering background and still enjoy being hands-on.

n

You'll ideally bring:

n

n
- Strong hands-on experience across cyber security engineering and security operations.
n
- Experience with vulnerability management and remediation, threat detection and incident response.
n
- Strong understanding of network, application and cloud security, along with security architecture.
n
- Experience personally implementing, configuring and improving security controls and technologies.
n
- Knowledge of Essential Eight, ISO 27001 and NIST, with PCI DSS experience highly regarded.
n
- Ability to communicate technical security risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
n
- Ability to operate autonomously, take ownership and drive security improvements.
n
- Previous team leadership or mentoring experience is advantageous; however, deep technical capability is the priority.
