The Opportunity

Our client is a highly regarded, respected and growing freight management and consultancy organisation. Privately owned, its board and leadership team pair deep market expertise with a genuine commitment to performance and to its people.

With the commercial team expanding, this newly created role has been built to turn a historically reactive analytics team into a genuine value-creation function - one that shapes how the business wins, not just how it crunches the numbers.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Business Solutions, you'll take transport and pricing analysis and turn it into the case for change - building the models and the story you present to customers and stakeholders. You'll work alongside the commercial team on new business and with client success on retention, margin and continuous improvement, acting as subject matter expert in the room when it matters most.

This is a genuine solution role: understanding what a business needs from its supply chain, then having the credibility and storytelling to make the case land with a customer's leadership team, not just your own.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead freight distribution and pricing analysis for new, existing and extension business
- Build the story and presentation pack that articulates a solution's value,



not just its numbers
- Partner with sales and client-facing teams to shape winning customer proposals
- As subject matter expert, lead solution discussions in customer meetings and workshops
- Drive margin improvement and continuous improvement initiatives across the client base

About You

You're doing this work in all but title - likely in a solution design, pricing or pre-sales role at a competing freight, logistics or 3PL/4PL business - and you're ready for a seat with a real mandate, not a supporting role in someone else's process.

- Strong grounding in domestic freight, cartons and pallets, ideally within a 3PL/4PL or major carrier environment
- Comfortable building the analysis and confident presenting it - to internal stakeholders and C-suite customers alike
- A natural instinct for the story in the data, not just the data itself
- Politically savvy enough to bring internal teams with you, not around them
