As the firm continues to expand its Brisbane presence, it is seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join its Litigation & Disputes team.

n

This is an opportunity to undertake high-quality commercial litigation work while building your professional profile, strengthening client and referral relationships and contributing to the future direction of a growing office.

n

You will work closely with the firm’s Directors, GM and other senior lawyers, with the autonomy to manage your matters and the support to further develop a specialist area of practice aligned with your experience and interests.

The opportunity

n

You will advise and represent clients across a varied commercial litigation practice, including:

n

n
- Contractual disputes
n
- Shareholder and business disputes
n
- Building and construction disputes
n
- Insolvency and restructuring matters
n
- Debt recovery
n
- General commercial and corporate disputes
n

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Managing litigation matters from commencement through to resolution
n
- Providing strategic, practical and commercially focused advice
n
- Drafting pleadings, evidence, correspondence and settlement documentation
n
- Appearing at mediations, interlocutory applications and hearings
n




- Building trusted, long-term relationships with clients
n
- Developing relationships with referral partners and professional networks
n
- Representing the firm at selected client, industry and networking events
n
- Mentoring and supporting junior lawyers where appropriate
n
- Contributing ideas and initiatives that support the continued growth of the Brisbane office
n

What you will bring

n

You will be an experienced and commercially minded litigator who is comfortable managing matters with a high degree of autonomy.

n

Ideally, you will have:

n

n
- At least 5+years PAE in commercial litigation & disputes
n
- Strong technical, drafting, analytical and matter management skills
n
- The ability to provide clear, strategic and solutions-focused advice
n
- Confidence managing clients and complex matters independently
n
- Strong communication and relationship-building capabilities
n
- An interest in developing your professional network and market profile
n
- A collaborative approach and willingness to support junior team members
n
- The confidence and professionalism to represent the firm with clients and referral partners
n

n

Experience in building and construction disputes, insolvency or restructuring will be highly regarded.



The firm is also open to candidates who bring strong commercial litigation experience and a genuine interest in developing expertise within one of these areas.
