Who could you be at GHD
Our various teams are on the lookout for our next Graduate Civil Engineers in 2027! Based out of our Bundaberg office, and with a degree in Civil Engineering, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of projects that help shape communities across the Wide Bay region, Queensland, and beyond.
Whether your interests lie in transport, water, municipal infrastructure, land development, or multidisciplinary engineering projects, you'll gain hands‑on experience working alongside experienced professionals while building a strong foundation for your engineering career.
A little more about the role can be found below:
- Contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of civil infrastructure projects across a variety of sectors.
- Work alongside experienced engineers to develop practical, innovative, and sustainable engineering solutions.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering designs, calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and field investigations to gain practical exposure to project delivery and construction activities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across civil, environmental, structural, electrical, mechanical,
and project management disciplines.
- Utilise industry-standard engineering software and digital tools to support project analysis, design, and documentation.
- Support project delivery through design coordination, stakeholder engagement, and technical problem‑solving.
- Develop your understanding of relevant Australian Standards, industry best practices, and engineering design principles.
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, local councils, and project teams while contributing to meaningful projects within the region.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, sustainable engineering practices, and innovative approaches to infrastructure delivery.

Start dates and opportunities
Most of our full‑time roles kick off in February 2027, though some teams might have earlier start dates in mid‑2026. Plus, there might also be casual work opportunities throughout your final year of study to give you a head start.
