About the role

La Tosca is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our team on a full-time basis at our Brunswick VIC 3056 facility. This is a strategic leadership position where you will oversee all aspects of our production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality and safety standards are consistently met. The Production Manager plays a crucial role in driving operational excellence and contributing directly to the company's growth and profitability objectives.

What you'll be doing

- Planning and scheduling production activities to meet customer demand whilst optimising resource allocation and minimising waste
- Supervising and managing production staff, including recruitment, training, performance management and development
- Monitoring production metrics and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Ensuring all production processes comply with health, safety and environmental regulations and company policies
- Coordinating with quality assurance teams to maintain product quality standards and manage non-conformances
- Liaising with procurement, logistics and sales teams to ensure seamless workflow and on-time delivery of products
- Identifying and implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
- Maintaining accurate production records and reporting on operational performance to senior management
- Managing equipment maintenance schedules and troubleshooting production issues

What we're looking for

- 5+ years of production management experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting




- Proven track record of successfully managing production teams and achieving operational targets
- Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling and inventory management
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles
- Proficiency with production management software and data analysis tools
- Comprehensive understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse teams
- Demonstrated capability in budget management and cost control
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced production environment
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree in engineering, operations management or related field are advantageous
