Position: SEE Program Teacher
Employment: Full-time
Salary: $90,000–$100,000 + superannuation

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Male SEE Program Teacher to join our team on the Tiwi Islands in the Northern Territory.
The successful applicant will deliver the Australian Government Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program to adult learners, supporting participants to improve their language, literacy, numeracy, digital and employability skills.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working in a remote community and wants to make a meaningful difference to adult learners and their employment and education pathways.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging SEE Program training.
- Teach language, literacy, numeracy, digital and employability skills.
- Develop individual learning plans based on each participant’s needs.
- Conduct initial and ongoing learner assessments.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Provide individual mentoring, encouragement and learning support.
- Create a secure, inclusive and culturally respectful learning environment.
- Develop contextualised training and learning resources.
- Liaise with employers, community organisations and relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure delivery meets SEE Program, RTO and Australian Government requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Recognised teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor of Education or equivalent.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent, where required.
- Demonstrated experience teaching adult learners.
- Strong knowledge of language, literacy and numeracy development.
- Positive digital literacy skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote location.
- Current National Police Check.
- Working with Children Check, where applicable.
Desirable Experience
- Experience delivering government-funded education or employment programs.
- Knowledge of the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF).
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners.
- Experience working in remote or regional communities.
- Experience supporting learners with low-level literacy and numeracy skills.
- Understanding of culturally responsive teaching practices.
