Job Description

Drive profitable growth, strengthen dealer partnerships, and expand NM Insurance's market presence across Queensland as our Business Development Manager.

NM Insurance is a market-leading distributor of insurance products and services across the recreational sectors of pleasure craft, motorcycle and caravan, as well as commercial marine insurance lines.

Operating across Australia and New Zealand, we are a full-service underwriting agency with in-house expertise spanning underwriting, claims, product, actuarial, finance, legal and compliance. Our products are distributed through a trusted network of dealer partners, strategic distribution relationships, and direct-to-consumer channels, delivering specialised insurance solutions backed by exceptional service and industry expertise.

As our Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving growth across Queensland by building robust dealer partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering initiatives that support long‑term success. This is a highly autonomous role that combines relationship management, business development, territory management and market expansion.

Based in Brisbane, you will manage and grow an established portfolio of dealer partners while identifying opportunities to further strengthen NM Insurance's presence across the state. Acting as a trusted partner to our network, you will provide product support, deliver training and education, share market insights, and work collaboratively with stakeholders to maximise performance and achieve mutual success.

This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys being out in the market, building lasting relationships and creating commercial opportunities. While predominantly Brisbane-based, approximately 25% of your time will be spent travelling throughout North and Central Queensland. Regular face‑to‑face engagement with dealer partners is a critical component of the role and essential to strengthening relationships, identifying opportunities and driving growth across your territory.

Success in this position requires exceptional relationship‑building skills, a highly organised and structured approach, and strong attention to detail. You will be responsible for managing multiple stakeholder relationships, planning and coordinating travel, maintaining accurate records, following through on commitments,

and ensuring opportunities are progressed effectively. Your ability to build trust, communicate with confidence, and consistently deliver a high standard of service will be key to your success.

In return, you will have the opportunity to represent a respected industry leader, enjoy a level of autonomy, and make a genuine impact on the growth of our business. NM Insurance provides a company vehicle, laptop, mobile phone, and the tools and resources required to support your success both on the road and in the office.
