A highly regarded engineering consultancy, recognised for delivering substantial and technically challenging structural projects, is looking for an experienced Façade Engineer / Senior Façade Engineer to help develop the next stage of its façade capability.

This isn't about becoming another engineer within a large façade department.

It is an opportunity to become one of the key people clients, architects and colleagues turn to when façade decisions matter – combining technical engineering with project leadership, client relationships and the prospect to influence how the façade discipline develops.

Working alongside an established structural engineering business, you'll be involved across a diverse range of building projects and façade systems.

Depending on your background, your experience may include:

- Curtain walling and glazed façade systems
- Cladding and rainscreen systems
- Aluminium, glass, stone and other façade materials
- Façade structural design and engineering
- Building envelope design and detailing
- Interface between façades and primary structures
- Design reviews and technical assessments
- Site inspections and construction-stage support
- Coordination with architects, structural engineers and contractors





The consultancy is particularly interested in someone who understands that good façade engineering goes considerably further than calculations.

You will have the confidence to challenge designs where necessary, identify potential issues before they reach site and provide practical solutions that architects, contractors and clients can actually work with.

The position will give you the opportunity to:

- Take technical ownership of façade projects
- Work directly with clients, architects and contractors
- Influence façade strategy from early design through construction
- Provide technical guidance to other engineers
- Strengthen and develop existing client relationships
- Contribute to proposals and future project opportunities
- Help shape the continued development of the façade capability within the business

You may already be operating at Senior Façade Engineer level, or you may be an experienced Façade Engineer who has reached the point where you want greater responsibility and influence.

Either way, technical ability is only part of what we're looking for.

We want someone who communicates well, enjoys solving difficult engineering problems and wants to become recognised as a trusted technical and client-facing figure within the consultancy.
