WesTrac is seeking a proactivePurchasing Officerto join our team. Based at Tomago, this full-time Monday to Friday position offers the opportunity to play a key role in purchasing,expeditingand supplier performance activities within a national procurement function.

As a Purchasing Officer within our Procurement team, you will be instrumental in ensuring thetimelyand efficient procurement of goods and services that support business operations across the business.

Reporting to the National Purchasing Manager, you willbe responsible fortransactional purchasing activities, managing overdue orders, coordinating supplier non-conformanceprocessesand supporting internal stakeholders with procurement-related enquiries. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers alike.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare,processand manage purchase orders in line with business requirements and procurement policies
- Monitor andexpediteoverdue purchase orders to ensure critical operational and machine build requirements are met
- Coordinate supplier non-conformance reports (NCRs), including root cause investigations, correctiveactionsand stakeholder communication
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on procurement processes, purchaseordersand supplier-related queries.
- Maintain supplier andpurchasingmaster data, ensuring accuracy,integrityand consistency across systems
- Utilise SAP and Ariba systems to manage procurement transactions, supplierinformationand reporting activities





Skills and Experience

- Experience in a purchasing,procurementor similar supply chain role
- Strong communicationand stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships
- Proficiencyin Microsoft Office and enterprise procurement systems such as SAP and Ariba
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while alsooperatingeffectively with a high degree of autonomy
