We are seeking teachers who are passionate about their subject area and committed to delivering engaging, evidence-informed learning experiences that challenge, support, and empower students to achieve their personal best. Key Responsibilities

1. Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned learning experiences that challenge, support, and inspire students across relevant secondary year levels.
2. Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing classroom environment that promotes student wellbeing, academic excellence, and a genuine love of learning.
3. Assess, monitor, and report on student progress using a range of evidence-based assessment practices, providing timely and meaningful feedback to support student growth.
4. Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, contributing to a strong culture of learning, connection, and respect.
5. Contribute to the College's pastoral care, co-curricular, and community programs, supporting the holistic development of students.
6. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practice, share expertise, and contribute to a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and professional excellence.
7. Integrate contemporary technologies and effective pedagogical approaches to maximise student engagement and learning outcomes.

What We're Looking For:

- Demonstrated expertise, qualifications, and a passion for teaching within a secondary school setting.
- A solid commitment to student wellbeing, engagement, and academic achievement.
- Sound knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and, where relevant, QCAA syllabus requirements.
- The ability to build positive and productive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
- A collaborative team member who contributes positively to College life and culture.
- A commitment to innovation, reflective practice, and ongoing professional growth.
- Proficiency in the use of digital technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
- Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration, or eligibility to obtain registration.
- A commitment to the values, vision, and child safeguarding responsibilities of A.B. Paterson College.

Desirable

- Experience teaching senior secondary subjects and/or preparing students for external assessments.
- Experience contributing to co-curricular, sporting, cultural, or service-learning programs.
- Ability to teach across multiple year levels and contribute to a dynamic and collaborative faculty.
