Here’s What You’ll Be Up To…
- Leading and supervising a landscape maintenance crew delivering high-quality parks, gardens and public space services
- Conducting day-to-day park and garden maintenance including mowing, planting, pruning and asset upkeep
- Permanent full-time position with ongoing opportunities for development and career progression within council operations
- Working with internal teams including supervisors, operations coordinators, and other maintenance crews

What are we looking for?

The must-know bits
You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, to progress through the recruitment process.

Requirements
Essential Criteria
- Extensive experience in Landscape Maintenance
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and allocate work
- Experience in planning and coordinating day to day activities
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
- Demonstrated knowledge of minor plant and equipment used in Landscape Maintenance
- Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White) Card
- A current Class C or MR driver licence
- Knowledge of and commitment to WHS and EEO principles
Desirable Criteria
- Tertiary qualification in Horticulture or related area
