Salary Range: $79,586 - $118,036 + 12% super

About the Role

You’ll deliver EAL support across the school, with a strong focus on literacy development and targeted learning plans aligned to student needs. Working closely with classroom teachers and wellbeing/support teams, you’ll help remove language barriers and build student confidence and participation. A trauma-informed approach is important to ensure students feel safe, seen, and supported in their learning.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver targeted EAL instruction to students across varying English proficiency levels




- Plan and implement literacy-focused support aligned to student learning needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to differentiate and scaffold learning
- Use student data to inform interventions, groupings, and progress tracking
- Partner with wellbeing/support teams to provide trauma-informed learning support
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment that prioritises engagement

You Will Have

- Tertiary qualifications in Education and English (or related discipline)
- Current or pending VIT registration
- Strong knowledge of scaffolding strategies for English language learners
- Capability to support students from diverse cultural and language backgrounds
- Understanding of trauma-informed practice (or willingness to learn and apply)
