About The Role: Reporting to the Case Manager, this role is focused on supporting the day-to-day program operations in the organisation and supporting youth workers to develop and improve practice and drive positive outcomes for the young people in our care. In this role with DCC Industry Group, you will work collegially with the Case Manager as you support and implement program structure and consistency. You will be an effective determined and creative leader that takes the opportunity to develop and support a residential program. This position will see you providing on the floor support to young people in the program each day, with one day allocated as your office-based admin day.
Key responsibilities will include:
Staff and program inductions for all new employees in residential programs
Rostering of staff, ensuring over and under-utilisation is kept to a minimum
Assist with recruitment and conduct interviews
Developing weekly house planner and activity structures
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with all youth workers and Case Manager in a professional and timely manner
Delivering care, support and guidance to our young people in a trauma-informed manner and identifying their needs.
Up lining both client and stakeholder complaints and incidents promptly and in line with organisational requirements to the Case Manager.
Complete grocery list and weekly shopping for the program
Supporting staff through reflective supervision, guidance, and strategic long term goal setting, as well as training and coaching.
Compile staff feedback and performance issues to Case Manager and provide Weekly Handover
Supporting multiple programs in the absence of other House Managers.
Any other duties as required (eg. Beds/nights)
About You:
The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children and young people, is a strong role model,doesn’t take things personally, and can help children and young people explore themselves and theirculture with good personal and leadership values.
Availability: Must be able to do Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

Qualifications / Requirements:
Minimum of Certificate IV or higher in Youth Work or Child, Youth and Family Intervention or similar - As per listed qualifications here:
2+ years’ experience in residential youth work with a strong knowledge of Child Protection and Out of Home Care is essential
Strong time management and organisational skills
Current Blue Card and LCS check or willing to obtain
Current Open/P2 Australian Driver's License
Current First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain
Proven experience in mentoring and developing staff
