Onsite, based between Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital Specialist Clinics, & Austin Health Specialist Clinics

Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across three campuses in the north‑east of Melbourne and statewide. About the Specialist Clinics

Specialist Clinics is a consultative-based health service, incorporating teaching, training, research and minor procedures for clients from the community and non-bed-based hospital patients.

The department stretches across five locations on two campuses - Level 3 Lance Townsend Building (Austin Hospital), Tobruk Centre and Level 2 & Level 4, Centaur Building, Repatriation Hospital. Currently over 600 clients attend each day.

About the role

The Nurse Coordinator position at Speciality Clinics is a newly established role. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic senior nurse who takes initiative and is excited to help shape this position to meet our service needs. As a member of the Specialists Clinics team, you will work closely with medical units and external healthcare providers. Your responsibilities will include managing and enhancing clinic capacity, ensuring patients are prepared before their appointments,



overseeing clinic bookings, and collecting, interpreting & responding to data related to Specialty Clinics activity.

About you

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent time management & clinical prioritisation skills
- Demonstrated experience in the outpatient care setting
- Highly motivated to improve the provision of quality care for patients requiring non-admitted care
