Cairns libraries are seeking an experienced and customer-focused professional to join our team as a Casual Librarian!

n

What You'll Do:

n

n
- Ensure a consistently high standard of customer-focused library services and resources are provided to the community.
n
- Lead, support and deliver excellent front-of-house services and operations across various Library venues.
n
- Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to build a high performing team that is results oriented.
n
- Contribute, through excellent individual and team efforts, to Cairns Libraries strategic goals and objectives
n

n

What We're Looking For:

n

n
- We're seeking individuals who are enthusiastic about library services, have a keen eye for detail, and enjoy working in a collaborative workplace.
n
- You should have a strong customer focus, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
n
- You will have:
n
- ALIA (Australian Library and Information Association) accredited undergraduate degree in Library and Information Studies; or
n




- Significant progress towards completion of an ALIA accredited undergraduate degree in Library and Information Studies; or
n
- First degree in any discipline AND an ALIA recognised post graduate (graduate diploma or masters) degree; or
n
- Equivalent combination of relevant experience and training.
n
- Current Qld Drivers Licence and ability to independently drive between all library and business locations to meet operational needs.
n
- Qld Working with Children Blue Card or eligibility to obtain.
n
