- Build lasting customer relationships with contractors, specifiers, facility owners, and end-users
- Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate Musco products and services
- Develop new business opportunities and strengthen existing customer relationships
- Present products and services through customer meetings, sales presentations, field visits, trade shows, and other events
- Identify project decision-makers and influencers and develop relationships with them
- Prepare project budget estimates using Musco pricing tools and resources
- Partner with sales, engineering, and internal teams to evaluate projects and develop solutions
- Negotiate pricing, agreements, credit terms, and collections when appropriate
- Participate in field activities including measuring and assessing facilities, confirming pole locations, supporting installations, conducting night-light tests, troubleshooting, and warranty inspections
- Maintain accurate and timely project information and documentation in the sales database
- Communicate territory needs, customer concerns, opportunities, and resource requirements to the Regional Sales Coordinator
- Participate in company meetings, conference calls, training, and other business activities
- Make business development calls and create opportunities with prospective and existing customers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business, Sales, Entrepreneurship, or a related field preferred
- Genuine passion for sales, relationship building, and business development
- Strong customer-first mindset and ability to build trust with people at all levels
- Self-discipline and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a broader team
- Positive,
entrepreneurial attitude with ownership and accountability
- Creative and innovative problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confidence presenting to groups

- Ability to balance customer meetings, travel, project deadlines, and internal communications
- Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn and educate others
- Electrical industry experience preferred
- Experience working with contractors preferred
- Flexibility to travel extensively throughout the territory, including occasional evenings, overnight stays, and work outside traditional business hours
- Access to a personal vehicle for business travel within the assigned territory
- 3–5 years of relevant sales experience preferred
